Never experienced the emergency braking in my daily or the Mustang, a few times it beeps at me with the collision warning. (especially when someone takes a right turn)
The beeping might have saved me once or twice, but thats a if/when case.

I like the thought of it, in my daily the extra was 150€, so if it saves me from one single bumper damage, it paid off.
It´s advertised as "can stop accidents up to 50kph, and reduce severity at higher speeds" i would like to test it on a balloon or something harmless. Curiosity. :D
No way lawyers would let them say it would definitely avoid, if for no other reason than traction limits between you and the "target" are unknown. And the farther apart the bigger the possible variation.

It probably will not work as the camera will probably ignore it, likewise leaves. I've had mine apply the brakes at a toll booth when the barrier came down suddenly in front of me (30kph fast transit toll booth in France)

This afternoon I was slightly surprised to get the warning due to an empty cardboard box, a bit bigger than a large cat, blowing on the road in front of me.

On one hand i really appreciate the Aids that make commuting more , on the other im afraid what can get corrupted or broken as the car gets older.
