Antilock brakes are a bit different than collision avoidance. Antilock brakes are not because the driver is lazy but a better way to stop the car when it is slick or wet out.
Collision avoidance is for distracted drivers who shouldnt be behind the wheel in the first place if they cannot drive and pay attention to the road. 18 years driving and never rear ended someone as I pay attention when I drive.
