Deno. Mate. You're approaching this the wrong way. Rental cars can be therapeutic. What have you got to lose by 'exploring its performance envelope' and keeping a few km off your own car at their expense?

I agree.

I can confirm that the MG zs has the worst possible suspension setup, and can assure you they can not take on a moderate speed bump at 60km/h. 😂🤫

Excellent real world engineering field test. Can we also safely say it plough understeers in roundabouts if entering at 80 km/h?

Lol I'm not sure why but when I returned it, the trip computer was showing 13.5L/100km. Not sure how a 1.5ltr can do that. It's not like I was red lining it frequently. I can confirm the rev limiter works well in the MG zs. 🤫😅

Sadly, no :crying:

Consumer protection here is pretty lame
Then I hope they solve OP's issues real soon.

It was a slow process when I had to do a buy back, and it would have been easy to get frustrated with it all but I stayed sane and it ended up pretty good. Ford is slow, but they did eventually rectify things.

I believe talking to their RAV dept (not sure if that exists in Australia) helped push things along for sure. I just explained everything to them, and it would be weeks in between phone calls/hearing from them sometimes, but it helped me out. Sounds like OP is getting that since the engineers are involved, so I believe he'll be OK in the end.

Sorry for your frustrations OP. And I would take the rental care even if it sucks. I think them having to pay for that helps expedite them wanting to fix your issues. 😂

FRIDAY UPDATE - Last lot of fault codes sent to Ford Engineers, new software sent and uploaded.

Told ALL Fault Codes are currently not occuring during Test Drive, EXCEPT now it shows a "Throttle Position Sensor" fault, new part ordered, complete Throttle Body as Sensor is not a seperate part, hope it arrives by Wednesday.

There is are official "consumer laws" but it's made so you have to jump through moving hoops to act on it though.
Consumer Law is only a Safety Net, to protect the consumer if the manufacturer refuses to accept responsibility and remedy the Fault or Defect, in a "Reasonable" time / manner.

So it was predominately a Software Issue (plus a Throttle Position Sensor). Hope this finally solves it for you.

There is actually a current stop sale on all Mustangs at the moment due to a software issue, both Ford Australia and US are working on a fix. I’m wondering if your car has this software problem.

Is that Mustang or Mach-E? Searched but couldn't find anything for Mustang. The sheer number of current recalls for many makes is staggering:

Your link is to US Market Cars. This affects all Australian 2022 Mustangs from about a month ago. This was apparently informed by an official Aust Dealer Notification (1) 2022 Mustang PRODUCTION DELAYS | 2015+ S550 Mustang Forum (GT, EcoBoost, GT350, GT500, Bullitt, Mach 1) - Mustang6G.com
