Maybe a piece of PPF would be good in this area such as Expel.

Xpel will probably work and will look better.

Not really I did the contour vinyl based on what you said - I just did not have transparent material available.

I just shot an email to my clear bras guy and asked him if he can do something a bit more professional looking than me - probably not that hard. But I will update this thread based on what he says.

After 20000 miles , the paint on mine is completely rubbed off in that area. Id say that it may be a warranty repaint/hood adjustment situation under there. The ppf sounds like a good solution once its touched up.

Wow! Completely rubbed off. I better get a move on...

Yep, I have a couple of spots where my paint is gone too... small spots, it went all the way to the primer.

I used some xpel tape I had lying around and applied it.. see how well it will hold up.

I have some XPEL tape to use, I guess I should get on it too...

In my case I have a 5 year lease. So ain't gonna worry about it. Will be under normal wear and tear when I give them the car back.
