I have the roush phase 2 with a Wengerd tune. I keep getting a code p1227 and it has now locked in as permanent. Code states: Wastegate Failed Closed (Over Pressure). How serious is this and what's the fix?

Have you checked the bypass valve hose and functioning?
I'm trying to get a response from Wengerd tuning because of what happened yesterday. Yesterday I cleared the codes and started it to go to the store 3 miles away. Upon starting there was no check engine light and everything seemed to be normal. Driving to the store I kept a close eye on the vacuum, but it seemed to be about normal for how I was driving. Upon leaving the store when I started it, again no light, but later I was stopped at a stoplight, when the light turned green I did moderate acceleration. Within seconds though the vacuum plummeted and went to 0.0 and the check engine light came on. The car still accelerated smoothly, there were no misfiring, and when I finally quit accelerating the vacuum popped back up to 18. Finished driving home with no repeat.
I've talked with the shop that installed the SC and from what I described they said that it sounds like... "the CAN Data bus stopped transferring data as the code is being set (sent?)." I think that the last word might be a typo, but then again, maybe not. Anyway they said I really need to get with Wengerd about the tune.

Just got a response from Wengerd and he wanted me to check the vac line at the actuator too. Checked it and there is nothing wrong the line and connections but I don't have any knowledge on how to test for the vacuum getting the actuator to function. The last time I worked on cars we were using dwell meters and feeler gauges.
