Cobra jet piping

What coupler size From a ess kit to a cobra jet manifold would I need to make it work? 5 inch to 4 inch?
What throttle body will you use? what's your plan with the ESS silicone TB coupler?

Here is what I dreamed into reality back in early 2023 with off-the-shelf parts and a single cut on the ESS MAF-to-TB pipe. This is assuming it is Cobra Jet with an OVAL throttle body. I use a VMP Mono 137 but any of them should be similar for this purpose. Hopefully you are not one of those guys sticking a small round TB on the front of a CJ with some type of adapter. :crackup:

1) HPS 5" oval to 4" round silicone adapter

2) CXRacing Polished Cast Aluminum 90 Degree 4"- 3.5" O.D. Reducer Elbow Pipe Tube - Do a search for this Ebay and you will find it and just buy it from there.

3) Cut the ESS MAF-to-TB tube right at the point where it starts to curve up and over towards the stock TB. Just cut it straight across and it will meet up perfectly with the 3.5" end of the turbo elbow.

Just mount the HPS oval adapter first, then shove the 4" end of the elbow into the HPS adapter and position the elbow downwards. Push the elbow in just enough to where the back of the elbow clears the fan shroud to your liking. Once you have done this much, you can pretty much eyeball where you will want to cut the ESS MAF-to-TB pipe so it meets up clean to the 3.5" end of the elbow.

I can get you better pictures if you need them and explain things better but it will be mostly self explanatory once you have all the parts in the front of you. Use the T-bolt clamps provided by ESS where you can and you will have to buy 2 more to attach the turbo elbow and HPS oval adapter. This turbo elbow has a lip on each end and it will not go anywhere once fully installed using T-bolt clamps.
