I have about 1200 miles on my Exedy Mach 500 clutch and flywheel. I replaced the concentric slave cylinder with a new Exedy unit, and the pilot bearing with a McLeod sintered bronze bushing.

Clutch works great. Feels nice. Only weird issue I have is this:

When the car is cold (after sitting overnight), if I pump the pedal 10-22 times the clutch will begin to creak. This is with the engine off. It does this with the engine running too, but Its tough to hear it over my exhaust. The noise is not coming from the pedal pivots, it’s definitely coming from the bellhousing area. After about 5 miles, the noise completely goes away. I can pump the pedal 200 times and it’s quiet as a mouse.

Any ideas? Anyone ever experienced this? Could the pressure plate fingers be creaking? Maybe the throwout bearing? Maybe the clutch disc moving ever so slightly on the input shaft (I did not grease the input shaft).

Thoughts?
Thanks
