huh...I guess I was wrong. I swear I've taken it past 8k before it's fully warmed up. But then again, that last 250-350RPM is so hard to really notice in 1st gear. I'm not about to go out and test the theory out so I'll take your guys' word for it :crackup:

OP think i know what you are talking about. I too notice a "lump" at idle through the clutch pedal. over 5k miles since september and no issue.

i also notice that sometimes if i stick it down into 2nd gear and floor it, its like the car has no timing in it. it will rev but a honda civic would be me and the exhaust note is terrible.

Yep, this exactly. Car drives fine other than this.

I guess I will try to get a Lune Flex tune and see if that clears anything up.

when it "bogs" like that all you normally have to do is go 0% throttle and get back in and its fine. only does it about once a month. its weird. its like your GF when she says "not tonight, i have a headache"

I purchased my GT350 in last November and got a incredible deal on it (42K ish) The car is a 2016 tech pack and had 17K miles on it at the time. I have no idea how the previous owner handled the car, if it was tracked or not. I purchased it 6 hours away from where I live.

The shifting is not as smooth as it was in my 2015. I can shift no problems and there is no grinding, but it does require more aggressive handling to get it into gear. I just figured this was the rawness of the way the car is and its extension of the road and driving.

The clutch seems to engage fine, but two things have me slightly concerned. The car seems to not really want to go when I go full throttle at times when its not at full temp. Seems to just feel like its in limp mode. I do not hear anything from the engine that is abnormal, no ticks, slapping, or any other sounds and it revs up just fine in neutral and at idle. Wondering if this could be clutch slippage? I am not sure what the full symptoms would be?

The other thing is after some good spirited high rev driving (Which the car seems to do just fine), I noticed I can feel what might be described as looping in the clutch pedal. When I am idling with the clutch in, its as if I can feel the looping (vibration) of the car in the clutch pedal. As the RPMs rise to from 1000-2000 I can feel it but then it starts to fade away quickly. Not sure if this is normal or if the clutch or even trans would be doing this.

Wondering if I should take it to the dealer. I have the warranty until mid summer still, but so worried about the dealer doing anything with the car. Much less having them drive it for extended time to warm up the clutch.

Any thoughts, should I just replace the clutch first and go from there? Seems to be a pricy job without knowing for sure it would make a difference.

EDIT: Forgot to add I been checking oil and have not had a loss in last 2000 miles.
It sounds like you have a good motor. Because it is a '16 tech car, it probably wasn't tracked hardly at all. As indicated in bold above, I don't get the whole track stigma. Ford Built this car for the track and as long as it is not a track whore, there should be no issues with these cars seeing occasional track time. The biggest concern I would have with track time is the abuse the paint and windscreen take. As long as the fluids are swapped out and the brakes taken care of, I wouldn't be concerned with light track use.

As for your clutch, maybe it is your transmission instead. I would start with a fluid swap. I notice when I change my fluid the transmission is not as smooth until it warms up. Over time it smooths up quite a bit. Some use other fluids which provide better results, but I use the motorcraft stuff for warranty purposes.

Vibration in the pedal is not necessarily a bad thing. If it is severe, then yes, you may want it to get looked at. If the car is hesitating (like in limp mode), I would definitely get it looked at. For a while, tech pack owners were able to buy a subsidized track pack transmission from Ford Performance for about $2500. That, with a cooler kit, would take care of any possible transmission overheating issues you would have. The only thing that would not be cooled would be your differential. I speak from experience that it is very difficult to get your differential to critical temps unless you are running hard at the track. If I was a tech pack owner, I would get one of those transmissions and cooler kits from Ford Performance.

Take it to your dealer while you still have warranty. You may or may not get a new transmission. A numbers matching transmission on a '16 tech pack in not a big deal. You have a good motor. I wouldn't dump the car. I'm leaning more towards transmission than clutch.
