Hello All,
I wanted to hunt around for info before I head back to Think Ford Guildford...the more I can arm myself with, the better.
So I have some noise when disengaging the clutch, mainly in 1st/2nd just as the clutch is being released/brought up and at low rpm. I would describe it as a subtle metallic grinding/rattle/whirring noise. Not always noticeable but when it is, it's unpleasant & I would imagine it's noticeable from the outside.
I should point out that this is something Ford looked at whilst they had it in for the leak issue. According to them, they felt that they had addressed this. From the limited feedback I got, they lubricated part of the clutch switch. Means nothing to me but may mean something to someone else?
From other reading, I know that the throw out bearing can be to blame. Is that another name for the switch?
Anyway, noise is definitely still there so I'm hoping to get them to check again.
Anyone else had similar issues? Any feedback/notes, greatly appreciated. Really pissing me off to have all these little niggles right now, so I'm doing everything I can to get them sorted!
