Except drone is massively wearing when driving if you have it. There's a reason to avoid it!
Yeah drone is definatly something to avoid at all costs! Started hating my old car due to the drone. If your doing a long stretch on the motorway the last thing you want is your ears ringing at the end of it.

Agreed... i had a cat back on my Monaro, it sounded awesome on the gear change overrun etc but on a run @ 70MPH (motorways and duelly's) had to be avoided or your ears started to bleed from the cabin drone :(

I have had some loud cars, including my current one, and never really found it wearing. That's probably due to the sort of miles I do - less than 4000 a year and not much motorway. At motorway speeds I can't really use the phone or hear the kids in the back, but maybe that's not such a bad thing :)

For me, getting something with a big Yank V8 has always been an itch to scratch. It was going to be a VXR8 until the new Mustang landed and I fell for it completely. Would never normally consider buying new, but this car just bypasses the brain and gets you in the gut. Had to have it!

I'll probably run something with 4 doors as a daily driver, so noise will be even less of an issue. I'm not planning to mod this car much, but definitely want to improve the soundtrack and make the most of what it's got. If that costs more than pulling some foam out, then so be it :)

Yes, spent another late night researching catbacks last night. Hard to tell from YouTube videos, but I think the Corsa Sport is my new favourite. Seems to have a nice deep muscle car tone, but still plenty of bark higher up the rev range.

I seem to have moved away from the Borla sound, towards deeper, more grumbly stuff. Want to listen to a few more H-pipe options (MRT, ARH, SW), but a lot of those seem a bit too 'smooth', if that's the right word.

The Milltek offering sounds great too - hopefully we'll hear more of that soon from the forum users who've picked it up.
