A few days ago, I was sitting in my driveway messing with my phone and had my clutch pressed down and car in neutral for about 10 minutes or so. When I went to put it into gear, it wouldn't go. The clutch was engaged because when I tried to put it into gear, the car would slightly try to move. I took my foot off the clutch and realized the pedal was still down on the floor! I reached down and pulled up on the pedal. The clutch then functioned as advertised and I've had no more problems. I only just purchased the car a few days ago. 2015 EB Vert. Great Car! Ford was unable to find a problem and I am curious if anybody else has had this happen.

Thanks!!

You wanna explain? I'm not new to driving by a long shot and there's NO reason holding a clutch disengaged for 10 minutes would cause a problem. Hell I've sat longer than that in traffic.

Truthfully? I've been driving the family truckster since I sold my 96 GT 10 years ago. Didn't even realize I was holding brake AND Clutch until I went to move. I had slipped it into neutral but muscle memory took over. Only had it for a few days at the time. But regardless, it shouldn't have happened.

But thanks for the useful info.

Well, I'll say that I'm not a little guy and my youth WAS spent in the gym but compared to my old GT, this is feather light. Also, remember, the clutch WAS stuck down so I wasn't really having to try.

No doubt! That's exactly what happened. If this is normal then I call foul! But Ford gave me back my car and said they couldn't find a problem. I'll keep driving it as it's functioning fine. I've got 70k and 6 years for it happen again! Lol!
