16 GT PP….Recently I’ve noticed that if I stab the brakes when rolling a bit, or slowing down for a light, the front passenger side suspension seems to have a bit of a “clunk” when the big ol’ brembos grab. It seems like something is loose, or maybe the wheel bearing is bad? I haven’t ever messed with anything in the front end, nor have I had the time to climb under it yet to diagnose the issue. It kind of feels like something moves a little when the brake on that side engages.

Any chance this issue is familiar to anyone, or signs that the bearing is bad? I don’t notice any other side effects, like poor steering, odd wobbles, etc. I did have an alignment done a few months ago though and I don’t recall the issue being there prior. The car is lowered on Pedders coils.

Thx!

Front clunk could be a bad ball joint or the upper strut mount.

This SSM was released for the GT350's regarding a front end clunk noise. Just because the SSM is for a GT350 doesn't mean the problem can't exist on other platforms:

Also the front strut mounts have been known to fail prematurely, causing a clunk noise from the front end:

I'd bet against it being a bearing. If a bearing were bad enough to cause a clunk on braking it would be horrendously noisy driving. Much more likely to be a ball joint, control arm bushing, sway bar link, strut or spring mount.
