Blind spot or not, he should've stay in the right lane he was going to and not just hopping nobody is around and thinking he owns the entire road and can do whatever he wants. Plus, he could turn his stupid head.:tsk:

What I find intriguing is someone watched that stellar bit of idiocy and made an effort to come up with scenarios to excuse it.

That's the classic blind spot merge. I can see them coming a mile away and try to get out of their blind spot before they make a move on me like that. But yeah, the jackass merging should be looking harder before making lane changes.

Texas move over law is 20 under PSL or get in an adjacent lane. So this guy drops 40 under PSL. I gave him good following distance but the cars coming up from behind definitely got my hear rate from 40 bmp up to about 65.

^^^ People just slowing down because there's a cop with someone pulled over on the LH shoulder. Traffic pretty heavy, so that lane slows down instead of trying to merge over before getting to the cop. Normal highway stuff going on there.

If you set your mirrors up right, you won't have a blind spot. No need for excuses. Kind of like turn signals, people think their side-view mirror is optional. You can't fix stupid, you can only hope to contain it.

Talk about escalating a situation. Smart move to kick the car, startling him and causing him to panic. Then the guy on the bike casually drives away. What an asshat.

I get the feeling that the bike/motorist disagreement began before the start of the video.
E.g. motorist cuts off bike bc of blind spot, bike retaliates, motorist retaliates, then 2 vehicles crash while the biker tries to escape.

Upon further review, my decision has been overturned. I think the car did do it intentionally. But either way both are asshats and I hope both have some charges coming their way.
