Yeah, my guess is he was trying to impress me. Not sure it was worth it though. LOL!
I think he was probably just excited to see a fellow Mustang guy. It's always fun to see others squirreling around in their sports cars. At least if he would have lost it (which it looked like he almost did), he would have just messed up his own ride on the curb. I suspect when good weather hits, there will be a lot of sports cars flying around.
You got that right. These guys just need to learn how to control that power. Hitting the gas hard in a sharp turn like that wasn't a good idea. That 2nd one...that's exactly what happened to me in my 2003 Mustang. Dude was in an F-150 though and I didn't have nearly the time to react as you did. He pulled right as was just about to him and I t-boned him. My car was totaled and I broke my leg. On the bright side...I used the insurance money as part of a down payment for my new 2016 Mustang.

maybe. Not sure if he lives there, but if so, he should be making friends with them while he can. They should be admiring his car, not slapping it and running. If he can't make friends with them, then eventually he will have to move.
And you got it on camera! I lost the back end a little bit in a roundabout that had wet pavement, but as a driver if you are applying the gas linearly instead of just stomping on it, it is so easy just to dial it back a little and the car comes right back to you.

Oh and I live in The Tampa Bay area as well. Drivers here are horrible.
