Not sure if it's my connection or what, but the editing on that video seems off.

Some examples:

Title overlay blocks much of the taxi.

Most of the pop-up overlays occur too quickly to read.

The "like" ad at the end blocks the interaction with the cones and signs.

Very nice overall though, thanks for sharing. I just mention these few items because I don't recall them being present in your previous videos, so maybe something has changed or maybe something funky is happening on my end.

Is there a random car sitting in the right lane? If the person just stopped instead of trying to get over like that the accident might not have happened. Good thing you made it out in one piece.

Yep, disabled vehicle, no lights. I'm guessing he didn't see until last second and panicked. He tried to switch lanes, saw me there, then came to a full stop. I had to brake pretty hard, and swerved a bit to the left just to avoid contact. I don't think the accident could've been prevented. White car seems to be distracted since he basically plowed full speed into the Civic. I'm just lucky he wasn't in my lane.

If I was the Civic, I would've probably just sped up and cut me off instead of braking. I think there was plenty of room to go in front of me IIRC.

This. And I'll bet the driver of white car blames the Civic for slowing down.

Here is my close call. Normally, I would have turned sooner, but I knew no one was waiting behind me, so I decided to take my time. Glad I did as my two kids were on that side of the car.

My latest contribution. :(

Oh no. I'm so sorry. I'm glad the challenger stopped to see if you needed a witness. Hopefully, it can be fixed :(

Interesting thread ...

Questions:

What brand/type of dash cams are you all using? Are they the type that is another rear view mirror that clips over your existing mirror or independent cams that get affixed to the windshield?

Battery powered or hot wired into fuse panel/cig lighter socket?
