Glad you are good with the situation and able to put it behind you.

I have an Xpel and Gtechnique install lined up but I am thinking of just going commando and using that $ elsewhere. Still haven't ,made up my mind.

I finally have good news to report. The R is fixed and getting rewrapped with XPel by the best guy around. Seriously, the best: he specializes in Bentleys and Teslas (the shop the dealers use) and has gone above and beyond: vents, mirrors, badges, spoiler removed to wrap all the edges. I've got NEW OEM stripes on the hood, fascia, and trunk (paid for by the offending shop). The trunk was repainted* as well. Here's a work in progress shot:

As you see, I decided on the full wrap again. Overkill, yes, but once the rockers and quarters are wrapped to protect from the front tires kicking up rocks, there's not much paint left uncovered.

I should have it back in my possession by the weekend. Finally.

* The upside to the trunk getting repainted is that they were able to professionally fix the boogers in the process, so I'm coming out slightly ahead after this whole debacle.

Were you thinking about bringing it up to Plano to NTXClearBra? Nate there wrapped my new '17 yesterday and he mentioned a car with a cut stripe but that you were too far away...

I think I talked to him after he reached out to me on an industry forum.

It's good to see that you're a happy fella again. Sorry you had to go thru this crap. I've tried to find the best around to do mine, but afraid it will be nowhere close to the same quality as the fella your having do yours. Still, its a lexus, audi dealer, and they have a pretty good sized area for doing the work and have done a lot. Went in and introduced myself and my needs, told them no razors except where absolutely needed, and they do wrap the hood and roof in 1 piece, over stripes. Something like 4300 for a full expel. 3 days with them I guess...

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I nearly had my car wrapped in Xpel Ultimate by a place in the DFW area (had to cancel my appointment for personal reasons). I'm wondering/hoping it wasn't the same shop you went through all this crap with!

Nope! Crap shop is in Houston. It's not so much they're a bad shop, but they did a bad job managing their sub-contractor. Their sub-contractor is actually a well-respected outfit, but something went awry with the person doing the work that day.
