I did Nano coating over my Suntek and so far it has been easy to wash and everything just does not stick. I also had my guy nano coat the wheels and that has helped with some of the brake dust buildup.

He used this one, which I know is not well know, but is mainly used on private jets and is now being more marketed to cars.

I'll submit feedback after next weekend. I have an R and am doing the multiple pieces to maintain the matte stripes. So far just coordinating it is a PITA! Finding someone who: A. will do the separate pieces, B. stocks matte film, C. who has time. I'm scheduled for next Thursday.

I had my hood covered over the paint only, not the stripes. This was done by the same shop that installed my stripes. Since the stripes are custom, I can have any damaged section replaced easily for very little cost, and the entire surface has protection.

I had my whole car covered in xpel ultimate in October. The entire hood including stripes were covered as one custom piece. Dirt does start to build up on the seams and takes a little effort to get it spotless.

If I had to do it again, I would still stick with one piece hood.

Costly, but I thought it was the best option to keep the OE matte stripe design. I had them remove the stripes, full front PPF, then install new stripes on top of the PPF.

Full front Xpel $1400
Half front Xpel $800

Being that its $CAD you can subtract aprox. 30% to the USD exchange, what are you guys thoughts, fair price? Is 3m/Avery bad compared to Xpel/suntec?

If you can get the full car in XPEL for about $3000 USD installed that is the by far the best price I have ever heard. The pieces alone add up to over $5,000 USD, of course that is not the price the shop is paying but it's not thousands less. Then add installation on top of this.

I am guessing they cut their costs by printing and cutting all the panels custom, but its just a guess. Any thoughts on Avery?

Yes terrible, Xpel then Suntek 2nd.

So it really comes down to using the Xpel pre cut kit where the stripes will have protection via a matte clear bra over partial hood or to go custom and install clear bra over entire hood leaving stripes to go from a matte look to glossy look, right?

Your GT350 was the first I saw in person and I fell in love.. now I've got an avalanche grey 2016 sitting in the garage, waiting for spring... I have to get one of the stripes replaced due to damage from the dealer.. but after that will be in touch. I'd like to see about getting the hood / front bumper in Xpel.
