We chatted last summer at the Metro car show in Orleans.. Your GT350 was the first I saw in person and I fell in love.. now I've got an avalanche grey 2016 sitting in the garage, waiting for spring... I have to get one of the stripes replaced due to damage from the dealer.. but after that will be in touch. I'd like to see about getting the hood / front bumper in Xpel.

Does anyone have a good source for precut 3m, xpel or other quality film at reasonable prices? At the prices I've seen here, it seems like it will pay to cut on the car from bulk film.

For the R with stripes, Xpel only offers protection for partial hood. So it really comes down to using the Xpel pre cut kit where the stripes will have protection via a matte clear bra over partial hood or to go custom and install clear bra over entire hood leaving stripes to go from a matte look to glossy look, right?
You are going to want to do a custom install. A pre cut kit on an R is a waste of money IMO. I was referred to Autoskinz in Valencia by a co-worker and I was on the fence about doing a pre-cut or a custom install. After talking to Jake from Autoskinz and looking at some pictures that he had sent me of other cars, I decided to do a full front custom install of Xpel Ultimate. They did an insanely great job to where I honestly couldn't tell if the panels were covered until I got a couple inches away from the panel seams. If you want to protect your R, get a custom install, and if you want one of the best installers on the west coast, go to Autoskinz.

I copied their yelp page link below:

Just the sandblast/rock chip prone areas. Nose, probably hood, mirrors, strip across roof and ahead of rear wheels and that's about it. It seems like precut would be nice as a) I'm lazy and b) I hate running a razor over paint even though it always seems to work fine.
