Check Fuel Inlet Error Code

Hello i was driving my mustang on the high way an hit a pretty bumpy road. The next morning my check fuel inlet error messege came up idk if the bumpy road caused ot or what. Does anyone know whats going on. The messege has shown up for the past 4 days and wont go away.....

The fuel inlet is where you put fuel in your gas tank. Check the little flap; it may be stuck open.

Yep, make sure there is no debris preventing the little flapper from closing all the way.

Any updates? I also got the "Check fuel fill inlet" warning light, which started appearing soon after my Whipple installation (performed by the dealership). I'm willing to bet the timing is a coincidence, though. My car is going in for regular maintenance at the end of the week, so hopefully I'll find out what the issue is with my warning light.

Get your little funnel out of the trunk. Insert and remove it from the fuel inlet and see if it resets the error. That's what worked for me the one time I got that light.

I had that happen on my f-150, and they had to replace the fuel inlet. the stupid thing would never seal

Anyone with this issue also check the Evap system. If your evap purge valve under the hood is disconnected you will get this error.

I actually found out what was wrong with mine, something cut the hose that Evans the fuel tank under the rear bumper, replaced the hose the code went away
