Charging system warning red symbol

I have a 2017 PP with about 30.000 miles, it’s a track car
Since the last few events i have this warning momentarily coming on regularly but only when on track
I put a new battery and here is the weird thing: i took my car to the track and i got the warning once again but only 1 time and during the first lap of my first session and afterwards no more warning
Any idea why
I mean, if the battery was the issue,as it seems to be, why did i got this single warning???

Because after being driven awhile it was getting enough charge to not flash the warning?

M6G sure has a blind spot on batteries and charging.

Don’t think so because i drove 200 miles to get to the track

high rpm is hell on the alt. check connections, and you might have a diode pack going out.

Agree but what is bizarre is that i still got it but only once. So was my issue battery related or not ?

Could be a ground.

The battery light comes on when voltage drops below 10.5 during engine operation.
Only 3 things can cause this. Battery completely fails, alternator charging fails, or serpentine belt is broken/slipping on the alternator and allows the battery to discharge below the low voltage threshold.
