Charging phone from USB

I'm trying to figure out how to charge my phone directly from the USB without it auto-playing music off of it? I have a jump drive permanently connected to the console USB and usually play music off that or on Sirius, but every time I plug my phone into the front USB it starts auto playing music off the phone. Very annoying, especially since it starts with the same song every time! Is there a setting I'm missing?

I can't think of the exact setting at the moment but there is a setting to turn off auto play. I think it is under media player settings. I don't have my car yet so I am basing this off my 2014 Explorer. Should be the same.

I believe that you can turn it off in "media player settings" which is accessible through "options" on the entertainment screen.

Another option is to buy a USB adapter for the armrest power point. That's what I did.

turn off Auto Play in the settings. the system will default and play the last medium that it was playing, so, it will always start with your jump drive with Auto Play turned off.

Yup thanks guys. I'm a Ra-tard...it was the first option in the "options" - "Media settings" menu! :doh:
