Last night this happened.

Hell of a noise to have all the boost blowing out under the hood.

Just curious, did any lights come up on the dash to alert that something's wrong? I know it was obvious to you in this case, but I'm wondering if, because of not metering the air with a MAF, if a boost leak can go unnoticed without actually going hunting for it.

There was nothing to indicate a problem. No lights. Just the mega blow off sound during acceleration. I had to drive it roughly 4 miles to make it home. It was an easy repair but it sorta pisses me off. Brand new car with 3300 miles. I haven't touched those clamps so it wasn't caused by me.

Everybody is having these issues. That's fine and all for guys like us who work on our car, but this is a major ordeal if it happened to a general consumer

yup I posted it the other day on the fb page I was close to home and was WOT and then bam! lost power and no boost so I already knew what happened. Mine popped off the turbo as well, checking the clamps they are not very tight from the factory.

I thought about that. Average person would take it to the dealership. Maybe even have it towed to the dealer. Possible time missed at work, etc... All for a 3 minute fix.

Ours did that once about 2 weeks after bringing it home, limped it home and re-tightened the connection. Looking to upgrade charge pipes and FMIC in the near future, so I am sure this won't be a problem afterwards.

Just went outside and snugged the clamps up, they were pretty loose. I have only had my car for 3 weeks.

I wonder if this affects a certain production date range.

I had this issue happen twice. First it was the lower charge pipe then it came off the turbo. I checked all mine the second time and all were loose or hanging on by a thread. I loosened mine all up put them back on and tighten them down good enough so the clamp didn't break. No issues since. Mine threw a code the second time they blew off P0234/ turbocharger/supercharger over boost. Cleared the code and no problems since!

I've had to regularly check the hoses the clamps don't really hold LOL I'm just waiting semi patiently for MAP to finish their kit..

I recommend everyone that has an EBM to snug up the factory clamps a little bit. If you get a charge pipe pop make sure you clean the inside of the charge piping before re-installing as you might have a small oil residue there from the crankcase system. This will make it easier for that pipe to pop off in the future so clean it out!
