Unfortunately, all these answers lately coming from Ford are simply "canned answers" and not the result of true CS research. Very disappointing IMO

Update: This morning COTUS updated my EDD from 12/18 back to 11/25 and shows "In-Transit". Obviously good news but I'll take a wait and see approach. Appears several others in the 10/26 build week have also had their EDDs updated and brings it back from December to November dates. If anything changes I'll update on this thread. Many on this forum, including myself, and most likely several others not on this forum have recently experienced a a lengthy delay in their EDD from what was initially displayed in COTUS. My initial EDD was 11/17 then changed to 12/18. After a few PMs with Ford Service it's obvious they truly don't know why or aren't saying. This is my build:
Stock Order (7/2/14)
Blend Date (10/29/14)
Build Date (11/01/14) according to both COTUS and ETIS
COTUS showing "Awaiting Shipment"
Mustang GT Premium 5.0
Ruby Red Metallic CC
6 spd auto
401A
50 YA pkg
Nav
3.55
Spare Tire
Reverse Assist
Enhanced Security
If you see anything or in common please reply. Hopefully whatever the issue is fixed soon and the EDDs come back to reality.
Nope it is a placeholder till the real one is put in it's place.I have a blend date of Nov 10, 2014 but ETIS shows 30.11.0002. Does that mean my build date will be 11/30?

No. This is standard notation when the car is in-processing or even in production. Actual build date will not show until the car is actually built. Your best idea when the car will be built is when it goes into the in-processing phase. When the car is ready to be built the Window Sticker option will appear in COTUS. When you click on the window sticker it pops up in a new window. At the top of the window sticker is a date listed above BLEND. The number 1 precedes the blend date. For example my blend date was 10/29/14. The blend date on the window sticker was 120141029. Car was actually built on 11/01 and that date showed up in ETIS on 11/03. Hope that helps.I have a blend date of Nov 10, 2014 but ETIS shows 30.11.0002. Does that mean my build date will be 11/30?
Lol, I emailed Ford and got the exact, and I mean verbatim, response. Clearly this is a basic answer that is not customer specific. I'm glad Ford won't even take the time to look into someone's order. Here is the reply email I got from Ford. The emphasis added is mine:
My name is Genesis, I am from Ford`s Customer Relationship Center (CRC). I have reviewed your email inquiring the Estimated Delivery Date of your Ford Mustang.
Our records indicate that your vehicle is in ‘awaiting shipment’. There are a great number of variables that may affect production scheduling and delivery:
· Option packages
· Special powertrain combinations
· Delivery delays of components
· Certification and quality inspections
· Transportation of the vehicle to the specified dealership
As such, it is not possible to guarantee a specific delivery date. Additionally, please note that dealerships are assigned different allocations on a monthly/yearly basis. The number of vehicles allocated to a dealership would be based on several variables. A dealership's allocation will also affect your waiting period as your dealership will only have a certain amount of vehicles at their disposal. Please note that the average vehicle production period is from 8 - 10 weeks from the order submission date to the factory; not the date your order was placed at the dealership.
Your sales representative at your selling dealership is in the best position to track your vehicle order. We recommend that you contact the dealership's Sales Department for further assistance in this matter.
Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company.
Sincerely,
Genesis
