Did you just compare Dodge vehicles to Mercedes? LOL

Who owns Dodge these days, anyway? Daimler? Fiat? Stellantis?

That company gets passed around more than a $2 whore.

Ford is probably average quality, which puts them way ahead of Dodge.
You’re being brand blinded. They all make errors, bad builds, etc.
I will say, our 2019 challenger came built better and straighter than my 2016 mustang which unfortunately whose left side appeared to be built by a 3 year old at the time.

I’ve never had any issue with my 2019 challenger from day 1. My neighbor has a 2010 challenger and changed an alternator. The initial build quality of my challenger was considerably better than my 2016 mustang, but Ford was good about making me happy.

Are you unaware that Chrysler/Dodge vehicles are notorious pieces of shit? My van is just our example.

Dodge vehicles are cheaply made, and they will sell/lease them to anyone with a pulse. Hence the reason every vehicle related crime here in Detroit involves a Charger, 300 Journey or Challenger.
Wow. Paint with a BROAD brushstroke, do you? And you think Ford build quality is better? I have owned both, and I don't see any daylight between the fit and finish and overall quality of FCA and Ford.

Every theft, huh. Show your work, please. I'll wait.

I will say though, both brands make/made some really crappy vehicles, with Dodge edging out Ford in that department, but not where the challenger is concerned. They got it right with that one.

Both my '12 and '13 Jeep Wranglers (both bought new) certainly fit the Notorious Piece of Shit category. I'll never own another Chrysler product because of them. It's a Jeep thing, indeed.

It's a shame because I loved the Jeeps outside their never ending problems, and I really like the performance-oriented Challengers. Alas, not going there.

I've had much better luck with Fords, although their QC needs work to put it politely. But for me they spend little to no time in the shop compared to the other domestics I've had (knock on wood).

I didn't say every theft, almost every vehicle related violent crime in our area involves the owner of a Dodge/Chrysler product, and it's not even close.

I did a keyword search on 'Chrysler 300' in the Detroit News, and here are some of the recent results, you could do the same for Challenger, Charger and Journey and see just as many:

Dodge will sell/lease to the high risk loan crowd without giving it a thought, that's why they sell more vehicles, and their vehicles are owned by people who commit these horrible acts.

Can you please explain why the car is at the fault of what people do? Next question- If they didn't use a Dodge vehicle to do these things, do you think they would have gone to a baseball game instead?

My point was it's easier to have a higher sales volume when you have very, very lenient lending requirements and will sell/lease to anyone with a pulse. Ford/GM have higher lending requirements than Dodge.

It's not the cars fault, it's the type of people who can only receive lending through Dodge /Chrysler because the other OEMs will not touch them due to their questionable credit ratings. Let's just say Dodge vehicles tend to attract a less savory crowd for those reasons.

Possibly, but that isn’t the challengers fault. It’s a people problem.

I absolutely call on Ford to do a Background Investigation of all persons who wish to buy a Mustang because we wouldn't want just any moron to buy one and sully the unassailable reputation of past/present owners. Where's my "I'm not worthy" cap for when they deny me an opportunity to participate in the ownership experience?

But hey, it works for Ferrari... No drug-running, drunk-off-ass playboys wrapping their cars and occupants around telephone poles here... And definitely no crime involving their squeaky clean clientele. At this rate would even Magnum be allowed to own a Mustang?

My "sucks bumper to bumper comment" was about the car (Challenger) and no one posting here. Being a Mustang driver who looks like he likes what he drives, I draw my share of WOT Challengers blowing across my bow to demonstrate their HEMI hysterics. Who gives a F?
The big body big HP conspicuous Detroit iron circus side show on wheels appeals mostly to drivers who want attention. That is why Dodge paints them every color in the rainbow. It works, it sells! As a sample of one, I can be wrong if there are statistics, but, in my town I see that Challenger drivers don't stay with the car. There is a greater supply of used Challengers on the lots than any other sport/performance model. Picture below is typical on a lot near by.

On any road that is not straight and flat that big HP Challenger is back there somewhere heating up his transmission and brake discs. The only way he is going to see my tail lights is if I run out of gas.

just because drivers around you don't know how to drive and pick a Challenger, doesn't mean the ol' girl can't hustle. I drove the WB pictured in my earlier post for 20 minutes down some "interesting" 2-lane and yes it needed Track mode to keep things tidy in the chassis department (just rediculously soft void bushings everywhere) that I was hard pressed to duplicate the speeds and feeds in my own car 30 minutes later when I did the same route.

Wow, simply wow. This is easily the most ignorant post I've read on the internet in quite some time.....and that is saying a LOT.

For me, the Challenger at nine inches longer than my Mustang, is just too big.
