Breather by itself didn't do it for me. Finally gave in and installed the dual valve can and gutted the pcv.Sub'd to see if this would solve the smoke at idle that the off road DP creates and the UPR CC does not solve....vice gutting the PCV.
I used to get oil pooling in the metal fitting underneath the filter until I gutted the pcvAny of you who have had it installed for awhile notice any oil on the filter? I was changing my oil over the weekend and noticed the back side of the breather filter was dirty but the front was not.
Looks like I'll check out Adam's video and knock out gutting the pcv this weekend.I used to get oil pooling in the metal fitting underneath the filter until I gutted the pcv
Right, I have done that, not sure if gutting the PCV was the right move...Breather by itself didn't do it for me. Finally gave in and installed the dual valve can and gutted the pcv.
Have you had issues since you did yours?Right, I have done that, not sure if gutting the PCV was the right move...
Hi AdamHere is what my breather system will consist of.
http://adamtuned.com/collections/20...lve-catch-can-2015-ecoboost-mustang-smoke-fix
Which I will be modifying to tee into the factory valve cover vent.
Then I already have a CFM unit that was sent to me for testing that I will be deleting the ball out of, modifying the baffle in it, and then connecting it to a secondary catch can.
Overkill? Yes. Do I care? No. Racecar stuff.
Pic doesn't workWe have done this pcv mod on several of our high hp cars. Moroso makes the check valve and weld in fitting. Properly installed in the downpipe using the Venturi effect this part increases the vacuum on the crankcase under wide open throttle conditions.
To quote Adam,
