I have a base black interior. At 1000 miles I am noticing Jean color transfer. I'm guessing it's not as noticeable as Ceramic. But it is there.

Please keep in mind, ANY color leather seats will have jean color transfer. You just can see it better on a lighter colored leather such as ceramic.

Take a leather wipe and white your black leather seats, you'll be amazed how much dirt comes off.

I've got 940 miles on the car, my trip to work is only 6 miles; but the only stains I got were from a dirty mechanic that sat in the seat. I used Meguiers leather cleaner, and haven't had a problem since. Ceramic seats are the best option on these cars! Really give the interior that upscale look and feel you find on more expensive Euro cars.

Wow, someone posted real pictures... without jeans stains. LOL.

My 2011 has the "stone" leather interior which is a light-grayish color. After nearly 5 years and 45k miles, I don't really see any jeans transfer stains. I do clean them fairly regularly and treat them as well with Eagle One products.

I was going to order the ceramic because I love my 2011 stone interior and I prefer lighter color interiors for the hot VA summers but after seeing yet another abomination of color-combinations in a Ford interior, I opted for the ebony black. Why, oh why, does Ford insist on screwing up good colors. With ceramic, only the seating surfaces are color-keyed. The rest is ebony. They did the same thing with the F150's and I thought they took a great interior and made it look REALLY bad. They really should call it "ceramic and ebony two-tone" vice "ceramic".

Ford will usually make the dash and "touch" surfaces black no matter what to prevent glare and hide dirt, respectively. But the new "two tone" seats just seemed like a way for them to cheap-out on the product.

For long term owners - any notable issues or maintenance tips?

Also, how "rare" is the ceramic interior overall (regardless of model)?

I have the ceramic interior in mine (I didn't get to choose; it was what was available).
I immediately ordered custom seat covers from Cover King, as I'm a mechanic and, well, yeah. My seat covers are holding up great.

4500+ Miles on our ceramic interior. Still looks like new.

I got Cashmere seats, wear jeans every day, 4500 miles so far and no transfer yet ( knock on wood )

Interesting. I had a 2007 MKZ before my 15, and it had light tan leather seats. In 115,000 miles, the driver's seat never discolored. I hope there's something you can put on these (other than a sheepskin seat cover like Jimmy suggested) that will stop the staining. I would be very disappointed.

My Redline leather has never shown any staining in 13,000 miles.

Family owns a Porsche with an ivory interior and it does the same thing. 120k car and Porsche removes the stains for free cuz they have no answer for it.

I have the ceramic interior and I had the seats treated at my brother's dealership. If they stain and they can't clean it up they replace the seats.

Does anyone know the production figures for 2015-16 Mustangs that have been equipped with the Ceramic interiors (breakout by total production and then by leather vs. cloth)?

It's seems to be a rare interior based on overall option packages when the car is built.

I ordered my DIB with ceramic interior since I didn't want black. I thought that it would give it a more upscale look. Maybe this time next year I can post back to how it is doing since it will be my DD and I rack miles pretty quick.

I am not sure how rare this seat color is with other S550's but it seems super rare with DIB. At the time of ordering about a month ago there was only one the dealer could find and it was in Boston. To far for my wife to travel so she just ordered it.
