Ceramic coat ABS black trim or no?

My detailer wants to ceramic coat the black ABS trim (splitter, rear valence, side skirts) when he does the whole car.

Is this a good or bad idea? I worry about hazing, longevity or whatever else.

Please note that I am not asking what you use on your trim. I am asking specifically about ceramic applied to the ABS trim.

I use ADS Trim+ and it is amazing. Go for it.

I have coated my black ABS plastic with a regular ceramic coating. Apply it and level it the same way, it will be just fine

What was recommended to me a year ago by one of the people here is shoe polish. The kind that is hard not liquid. My black plastic looked almost Grey before. Its one year later and still looking good.

And as an FYI a normal ceramic coating will not restore the trim, just protect it. ADS Trim is a restorer and coating. There’s several other restore kits out there as well. You’ll get the same hydrophobics on the trim as you do the paint with the regular coating

IF the trim is in good shape (ie black and clean) ceramic coating works just fine on it. Will help protect it a LOT.
