^^ If it's primarily driven on the street, your point is moot. I agree that if someone wanted less dusty pads, specifically for the track, it would not be a smart trade off...but the OP is not saying that.

Not entirely.

Certainly mass-market ceramic pads can have hit-or-miss success with getting good pedal feel or feel that's consistent from one day to another.

Though if it was primarily bought to show off in showroom-new condition on the street I'd say it was bought for the wrong reason even if it was the right car otherwise. To a track rat, dusty wheels at least makes it look like the car's owner tracks it once in a while.

That's actually GLOC Brake pads

Carbotech does not have GT350 pad.

The compounds are very similar to Carbotech as the owner of GLOC was with Carbotech for 15+ years.

Let me know guys!
Anthony@HTM curious....what is the performance trade off with these GLOC ceramic pads vs. stock for street use? If any?

You can't help but wonder if that particular GT350 is ever going to be driven beyond about a third of its potential. By any measure.

Wow... So we judge people's purchases now because he was inquiring about a pad that generates less dust?

For goodness sake... He didn't say he was selling his 350 to get a Camaro SS... C'mon guys.
for goodness sake, people may do whatever they want! FREEDOM! there is no free lunch here though. I just thought having more information might be helpful or save wasted time and money. might as well put some rock hard all-season tires on it to avoid those annoying rubber marks on the rear fender while you're at it. she'll stay so clean!

The only trade off I've found is less dust and less noise.

the stock pads are good for what they are though

Switched to G-LOC GS-1 for the street and will use R18 & R12 (F&R respectively) for the track. Won't need to resurface the rotors every time.

The stock pads are a really good multipurpose pad for the street and the track. There are obvious drawbacks though.

That's quite a bit different but I'd hope you would know that. This is a common "mod" for cars that will be primarily street driven. Might they glaze over before the OEM pad would on the track...maybe...is it going to happen on the street, VERY unlikely.

When I had my RS4, it was very common to switch to ceramics, as the OEM had this same dusting characteristic.
