cdc shaker on non mach 1 car

always wanted a shaker scoop on my 07 and never did was thinking about doing it to my 18. thoughts ?

To me it's like the side vents you see on some modded Mustangs. Fake and non functional. And at $800 and have to cut a hole in your hood? No thanks.

Its functional (at least to a point). You can see where it routes air to the rear of the airbox.

if your car were just about anything other than Crimson, I’d say go for it. But there is something about Crimson that is so rich that adding any cosmetic bells & whistles could ruin it. My vote would be to pass.

For those who are interested in this, I spoke with CDC about this subject and read the installation manual.

• This uses stock mounting points to install the lower bracket. Since the manifolds are different there likely needs to be modifications to fit the 2018 manifold
• This goes around the strut tower brace. so if you have an aftermarketstrut tower brace, modificationsmay be required
• This does have a ram air tube that goes around from the rear of the shaker to the rear of the airbox. Aftermarket CAI are required due to the stock CAI having pieces that interfere with the routing of this tube. No testing has been done to verify functionality and performance.

I'll probably wait to see if a non-Mach1 person installs this before I take the plunge. I normally go for funcrion over looks but this has an old school look that I really like.
