Here is mine - installed last September by myself.
Like the OP said, a lot of steps, but good installation instructions and the CJ Pony Parts installation video made it very doable.

To me, drilling the 2" holes in the trim panels was the most hair-raising. I checked the layout template about ten times before drilling.
Even had gone online to see what two replacement trim panels would cost?

Fortunately, it went well, looks factory - luv it!

Thanks @bee bop my trim piece just starting to pull away in this crazy heat. Tried the business card trick and I could see how that is an easy fix,

but I was having trouble keeping the card piece vertical against the 't' that goes in the slot, so I just took some double-sided tape and did not remove the second side that exposes the other sticky side and that made it much easier and kept the thickness close to a business card.

So I finally caved and got the CDC light bar. I liked seeing it on other cars online, but rarely saw it in person. Maybe once or twice at Cars n Coffee. My wife was against it, but she still lets me do what I want on my fun car, but made it clear she thinks I ruined the car now :-D Anyways, I didn't see any recent thread about them and only three very old threads. Figured I would post some pics and open the floor to questions - I installed it all myself after watching the CJ Pony Parts install video twice and reading through the instructions. There are a ton of steps, but it really is doable even by yourself.

I like them. Whats held me back is back seat access. At 6'3 I cringe thinking about getting back there to clean the rear window.
I hear you I’m not as tall 5’10” but what I do is get the top open so it is straight up then I can get access to the window standing in the back side area

OK, these pics are not helping me to not buy one of these ....

Heck, since the seats and panels come out, probably a good time to install a SmartTop too :D

So, i have one and got the install all the way to tapping into wires. I have tapped 3 wires that are yellow and none of them cause the brakelight to light up. Mine is 2018 Performance Pkg 1. Anyone else have this issue? Followed CJPonyparts video and their instrustions on yellow wires. One was very thin with a faint silver and others looked like silver stripe..... Stopped trying. Hope light isn't broken.....

Hey, there are actually 2 wires with the same colors. The instructions say it's the lower one. But I found out it's the upper one. Yours might be a little different. But just find the other wire the same coloring that's the one.
