Yep, that is exactly how I prepare my car for its annual top treatment! I am on my third Mustang convertible, the very first time I did this drill I did not take the time to mask it properly. Spent hours scraping off over-spray on the glass, that stuff dries like thin glue!

I am on my 3rd convertible. I use the 303 kit. includes a cleaning agent and their version of the top protectant. Every Spring I carefully tape and cover the glass, then tape the trim etc. Have found that when the protectant dries it is like glue getting off glass and trim. Water beads up...

Plus, Triple Yellow is gone for 2019, I think that is a bad move. Striking color, especially in a vert. I think the yellow needs the black top to soften the high-impact yellow. JMHS
