So I recently upgraded my small 4" screen to 8" screen in my 2018 Mustang. I gather the parts from different cars, and ForScan change the theme and all. My SYNC 3 is from a Lincoln Continental. Now everything is working fine - My phone connects through BT, play music from the phone, and can run Apple CarPlay from the centre console with the help of the USB-C wire. But whenever I try to make a call or receive a phone call, my sound disconnects. It starts playing FM on the radio, and CarPlay is working in the background. And when the phone call is finished, it reconnects automatically. FYI my phone is Iphone 15 pro and sync version 3. Does somebody have a solution to this?

Your phone should not be connected via BT while using wired Carplay. Remove the phone from Carplay, remove the car from the phone under Carplay settings, repair via wired Carplay.

I tried this. It still does the same. I tried just connecting through Bluetooth and calling myself from other phone. It still disconnects the audio

Try using the USB method to force update to sync 3.4

I think that's a feature, not a bug. When I have my phone connected to the car, when a call comes in, the radio goes silent to take the call then resumes when the call is over. Similarly, when I'm listening to an audiobook (Libby app), if a call comes in, or a navigation prompt interrupts, the book stops, then resumes where it left off.

Cyanlabs, confirm your version and update to current via USB. See if problem persist, if so it maybe a limitation of great Ford engineering!! :sunglasses:

Had a similar issue swapping head units and noticed calls would drop to the radio while CarPlay stayed active. Using a setup inspired by call center software handling, I made sure the Bluetooth audio profile for calls was prioritized over media.
