Sync 2 disconnecting from phone during calls

Hoping somewhere here can help... issue is driving me nuts. I have a 2015 GT premium, with the 401A. Sync 2, touchscreen. iPhone 7 connected via bluetooth. For a while, everything worked great. Now when I make or take a call through the car phone, my iPhone will randomly disconnect from sync. Doesn't hang up the call, and if I wait a few moments the iPhone will reconnect and the car phone works again. But it's driving me nuts. Now when I get a call, I have to pick up the iPhone, tell it to use itself instead of the car phone, etc.

Bluetooth audio and everything else works 100% great.

Has anyone else had this issue?? Or have an idea how to fix?? I hate the idea of having the dealer screw this.
