My last mod was to move my car over to E85 and I was also given a tune for 91 octane for the bigger injectors so I could run the tank out then flash it for E85 at the gas station. My first impression of the 91 tune on the 47lbs injectors was the car sounded so much better, it was already on a 91 octane tune but the car had a more aggressive/deeper sound to it. I ran the tank out and filled up on E85 and didn't notice a huge power jump to be honest. First noticeable thing was the startup on the car, it sputtered and struggled to get going but it eventually did and started idling normally. Immediately noticeable was the exhaust note, it was way more tame, like way way more tame. When I accelerate I can still make it get loud if I want but on deceleration the car would growl and pop but now when I downshift or come to a stop the car is super quiet, more quiet than stock to be honest lol. Once the headers go on that may change but I can deal with that for now. The odd thing is every cold start the car will sputter like its about to die, and it sometimes does and I have to restart it again. If I start it up and run to the store, by the time i get back into the car and start it up it usually sputters and dies and requires a second restart. Is this typical for E85 or was the startup fuel cut back a bit and just needs adjustment? I was thinking of upgrading the coilpacks or getting new plugs to help but Im not sure if that would help, the car only has 40k on it.

Current engine mods:
jlt intake, 18 manifold, steeda h pipe, aero axleback, 47# injectors and E85.

cold starts on E85 can definitely be a struggle, so nothing out of the norm, but you should notice a power difference, so I'd datalog some pulls and get in touch with your tuner

I drive my 18 GT E85 tuned year around (dry no salt) and have never had a cold start issue. 12k miles on corn.

Cold starts being difficult is pretty normal stuff. However it should run like a crazed beast.

That's definitely not normal. Your tuner will take car of you when you reach out to them :like:
