Almost didn’t click on this thread because I assumed it was some car dude term I never heard of.

So glad my curiosity got the better of me.

This thread has delivered in so many ways!

It's the very notion of the superiority of the manual transmission that which is degenerate.
I don't drive anything my grandmother can drive to the grocery store!

OP - FWIW, I found that when auto crossing my car with the nannies on and not in "Track" mode, there is a hesitation when going from off throttle to near WOT when coming out of a corner - very much like a bog. If I switched to Track mode (still leaving the nannies on) the hesitation was gone under the same situation. Apparently, the DBW program is enhanced in Track mode to help with quick transitions from full off throttle to aggressively on. Of course, YMMV.

Thankfully WRC hasn't succumbed to the inferior automatics as yet.

Which would explain why almost every Porsche owners are begging to get manuals back. Make the GT350/350R only auto and see what happens

My grandmother must be more badass than yours, she taught me to drive a manual.
Congrats on your grandma teaching you to drive a stick. How's that ecoboost doing?

It's the very notion of the superiority of the manual transmission that which is degenerate.
Always thought that 'degenerate' is what happens to a person's skill set when he lets the machine do more so he can get away with doing less.

Side note for the side topic - feel free to substitute 'she' in the above. At least one female in every generation of my family from two generations older to two generations younger drives (or did drive) manual transmission cars, starting from the very beginning of their driving.
