This is the message I kept getting when trying to set ambient color: there is nothing in the manual regarding that error message. What it means (and should note) is that the headlights have to be on to set ambient color.
Ford: is it so difficult to actually try these settings and write the correct information in the manual?

This is normal. You can only change the color when the Mycolor is active, which is when the headlights are on.

I feel like this is untrue. Like, with my 2017 Focus ST I would turn the headlights on, you could see the dash lights turn on...however for some reason, even in the day time, when i turn the headlights on in my '18 GT premium or parking lights on, the dash lights doesn't come on. Maybe i'm missing something. it only seems to turn on at darker ambient colors. I even tried changing the display setting to "night mode" and the dash lights never came on.
