One thing I also noticed was the Conti's were 6 lbs. lighter than the Bridgestone S04 (in the 285/35/19 size). That's even more unsprung weight you'll shed.

The tires are the easy part, the damn wheel decision is :frusty:. This is for a car I don't even have yet....:headbonk:
I know the feeling. Ordered... but still no scheduling yet and certainly no car. Do have wheels ordered, right Paul? :D Now it's September on the wheels... I actually might get them about the same time as the car. Still looking at tires... cuz the Zeeerow's gotta go. The Italians make great firearms and sports cars, but tires?

That is all...

Sure enough, and the 275/40's are lighter than the PSS tires at 28.1 lbs. Most 275/40's I've looked at are around 32 lbs.

That is all...

275/35-18 -6% speedo; 56 choices
285/35-18 -5% speedo; 30 choices
275/40-18 -2% speedo; 30 choices
285/40-18 -1% speedo; 6 choices

The 275 width seems to fit well on either 9.5 or 10" wheels. 285's want 10".

If it was my DD, I would not choose the -5% / -6% tires.
I've been planning this out for at least a month and I keep circling back to the 275/40-18 on 9.5". Easier front fitment, too.

(If this is helpful, I'll edit this to include 19" tires, as there are many more choices out there for the +1 size wheel.)

YMMV

How are they in the rain... as in "monsoon" summer afternoon thunderstorms?

Friend still has the original Sport Comps on a GT and really likes them. But it's a garage queen and never sees the rain. Wet handling where I'm at is at the top of the list.

That is all...
No problems whatsoever in the rain. Not as good as the Mickey's imo (shockingly), but still good.

I may go with the Bridgestones PP S04 it looks like. Who knows, that may change from now until the end ofwinter.
