Not getting a VIN yesterday and the hold on 50th Anniversary Appearance Packages was just too much -- went searching around and found an acceptable dealer stock model in upstate New York, driving up there to put down a deposit on it tomorrow.

I'll give it a shot -- it's got the 3.55 rear axle ratio rather than the standard, so I think hyper-miling is probably out of the question with it.

It's ordered by a dealer about 50 miles north of New York City; driving up there tomorrow to put down a deposit. Should be delivered mid-November.

I've thought about doing the same, but is anyone worried about the recalls? Headlight condensation, catalytic converter, possibly more. Now I'm not sure if it's worth jumping on a car that has been or about to be delivered. How trustworthy is Ford's QC?
