Camaero's interior has always been years ahead ever since the 5g
That's not necessarily true at all... I've seen a ton of reviews saying the S197 and the Gen 5 Camaro were both equal in terms of interior quality. The S550 just demolished the 15' Camaro, and the 2016 is trying to do too much in my opinion. It's not bad at all! Let's wait and see what it ACTUALLY looks and feels like and how C&D reviews it... I trust C&D over GMT any day. Much more unbias.

I loathe busy gauge clusters and busy interiors in general. Subtle. Classy. Refined. That's the way to go with it.
That's exactly what they did with the S550.

Many of us find the PP dash pattern tacky with the fake IP of the aircraft turned aluminum. The 3 vent dash is the nicest looking or the 50 Anniversary brushed. Some have actually swapped out the PP one for the 50th one (since its the only one that has gauge cutouts).
Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. I actually agree with this one. I preferred the more simplistic base dash design over the turned aluminum.

I think my PP dash looks nice. When you say "some", who are you referring to? A handful of people here and there? Just because a handful of people don't like it does NOT make it a blanket general occurrence.

I do think "tacky" was a bit harsh of Spartan. I prefer the base dash design, but I don't think the PP dash is tacky or poor. Again, the S550 interior is amazing.

No offense but 50th anv package is the worse you can do to a mustang. All that chrome on the outside and deleting the iluminated door still panels doesn't agree with me at all.

The chrome on the outside looks really funny to me, especially the ones around the tail lights. Also the grill looks better naked. If it was an option i would have ordered the grill without a pony badge with a dark sinister but agressive front look with just two fangs. Its just me though.

The chrome around the taillights is the only thing that rubs me the wrong way about the 50th package. I'm neutral with regards to the grill. I like it about the same in both trim lines.

Look on the forum. There's a thread just dedicated to the dashes...when they were being released many didn't like the aircraft turned dash. Many did. Opinion.

Not talking about the 50th anniversary package, talking about the dash from the LEs that some have swapped out their PP dash for.

Chrome sucks... I agree with you there.

While the overall layout and shape of the Camaro interior is great, the only feature I consider an upgrade over the Mustang would be that gauge panel. The A/C vents are very busy and cheap-looking (seriously, AC vents are not a place where you want to draw attention as a design element), and putting two of them right by the shifter is the evidence of serious retardation in a design engineer's thought process. Then you have that row of tiny buttons immediately above the vents that look so crammed that you would definitely have to lean over to understand what the hell any of them do. The LED piping all over the place is absolutely gimmicky as hell (Ford's Mycolor lighting is gimmicky as well, but at least the ambient lighting has a purpose... to see. LED piping just makes it look like you're in a Tron fuck-fest mobile). The entire dashboard looks way too low and slopes down towards the passengers, their reasoning in this was visibility I assume, but it makes the driver's side area look incredibly heavy and claustrophobic.

I have no idea who would look at the Camaro interior and think of the word "class," as cheap as the materials and build quality of the Mustang's interior appear to be, at least it looks like the interior wasn't fantasized by a 16 year-old's wet dream.

The vents are down there due to that big screen being in the higher center dash area. The way it is positioned i don't think you will have problem pointing them towards your upper torso, but face area might be a problem from that angle.

If your hand is resting on the shifter most of the time especially on the track doing laps, then you can definitely cool your hand down using the right side vent and keep the left side for cooling you upper torso. I might be going overboard here lol.

The styling is copied from Audi's and other luxury cars especially the vents, so it all depends on the angle you look at things. I m sure if you want to, you can find things u don't like in a Bentley interior too.

I'm sure the new F-150 gauges will be considered for the '17 or '18 Mustang ..now that Chevy did theirs mostly digital other then the main gauges, I think you'll see Ford follow...

Why would they? Camaro isn't the Mustang's benchmark... the Mustang is the Camaro's benchmark... who gives a crap about the Camaro. I doubt Ford is feeling pressured by GM engineers and designwork.

On the one hand, I like the F150 gauge screen. On the other hand, I don't know if it'll actually look good in the Mustang gauge cluster. The interior design Ford went with for the Mustang could be best described as "elegant simplicity." I don't know if cramming gadgets and baubles in it is the best idea.

That being said, like it or not, car manufacturers seem to be going through a "tack on LCD displays everywhere" sort of phase right now, so we'll probably see something like that in the Mustang's future, eventually.

The Camaro 6th gen interior looks like the center stack display was just pasted on after the fact.

The vents are down there because chevy wanted to increase their outward forward vision in the camaro. So they set about trying to lower the dash as much as possible. Thats why the vents are down below. I like the idea of using the vent to adjust temperature, but not when they're that huge.
