Mind if I ask why? I think they are good looking, and the handling of a C7 Z51 will be superb.
If you want a C7 get MRC! My 15 Z51 did not have it and it was not fun on long trips. I got rid of my C7 because I felt it would be my coffin and I got a good price for it. It also had too much power for a street car. 700 to the wheels was too much of a temptation. Overall, I find the GT350 for fun for the street and the C7 more fun at the drag track.

Question, why not a used z28? Bottom fell out of those and you can get them at 45k or maybe less. Same performance as the l1e, probably more rare and looks better. It would be a no brainer for me if I could stand the coffin feel or the look.

It was an issue with using it, my wife and daughter can't fit and we couldn't take long road trips. I would often drive and meet them at the beach. I decided I wanted a 4 seater

I miss it tho I think it the absolute best bang for your buck I loved the feel of it

I never really thought about the z28 , I guess I kind of liked the look of the zl1 better. but for value sake maybe your right about that one

Have you test driven a Camaro with the family? Unless you are small people it could still be an issue.

I have , I loved the 2ss with leather , the back seat is fine for my 3.5 yr old, I just felt I needed better suspension for track and tires thats why I liked the 1le, but I wish it had that leather no biggie tho. Im going to test drive a z28 and zl1 get 5, can't wait to try the shelby Im so excited to hear that engine I will probably fall in love,

I truly loved the vette tho I love the T top vibe batmobile .. nothing compares to that vibe.

I currently have a 1le on order due dec just not sure i might go another route...
If you like the idea of a high revving NA V8 then it will be no contest once you hear/test drive the 350. My father has a 15 Z51 2LT Stingray with MRC, and while it is a phenomenal car, I just couldn't see myself buying one because of the engine. The low-end torque is certainly great, but the engine response is just lacking, and I personally love a responsive engine. I don't like that the gearing in them is very tall, so that when combined with a relatively short redline, the rpm's climb really very slow when compared to the 350. Sure, it is absolutely a subjective and partially psychological affect, but I feel there is more drama/excitement/adrenaline when I see the rpm needle rising very quickly as the 350's does in comparison to the long legged low rpm redline Vette.

If performance is your only measure, the 1LE will deliver and 350 will be a waste of the extra $$. If the intangibles mean a lot to you, the 1LE will cease to be a consideration once you taste the 350, IMO. What a lot of people don't seem to get is that numbers aren't everything. There is a reason people are willing to pay HUGE money for a 911R that is slower in every measure than a GT3RS that can be had for 1/3 the cost (approx. including second hand ADMs and bidding wars). Whether the next Z28 is faster or if an SS becomes faster than my R is of little concern to me. I'll be too busy enjoying the 1 of a kind sound and character that the 5.2L FPC Voodoo provides that can't be had in any other car in the world

I see a 2014 Shelby going for 55k do you think a 2017 will hold strong over two-3 years ?

Well considering that is a GT500 that was built in far greater numbers, without a very unique characteristic such as the 5.2L FPC V8 (yes it had lots of power, but lots of cars have lots of power), and only dropped 10-15K in 3 years, I don't think that's too bad honestly.

I'll be 100% honest in saying if you are worried about resale you shouldn't be looking at any performance car. They are not practical or logical or sensible in any way, shape or form. There is 0 point in buying a sports car that you won't truly enjoy or really love owning and driving just so that you can save a larger % when you go to sell one day. Personally I would choose what makes you the happiest in regards to ownership, because chances are you're going to lose on whatever you decide to buy. So you may as well forget about saving those extra few dollars down the road and enjoy whatever will give you the most satisfaction until then!

Its just how my brain works, I like to make my decisions made my a ton of factors not just love of the car. I recently bought my corvette c7 paid 57 , 6 months later sold for 55k, I like to feel that I have value in my car in case I ever change my mind. Im very excited for this shelby to land and drive it!

So i finally got a test drive carmax, I was able to redline a few times, I was kind of under impressed * not to be disrespectful, but to me the exhaust, sounded twangy vs a big grumble and the torque i really missed low end. I did however love the look of the car ...

I did further research and there is a possibility that they put 87 octane in the car it was low and i demanded they put some gas in it. I read a review where someone *camarovs everything said he got the car with 87 in it and it truly ruined it... maybe I'll give it another go

Seeing the depreciation on the SS, and already discounts on the 1le and Zl1 has me still curious as the shelby is really holding strong value I imagine over 3 years it will still hold 40k -45k I like to think about resale incase I change my direction in wants or needs with a car.
