Anyone using a bumpsteer kit? With the BMR springs and now with the Ford Racing springs I am experiencing more fighting with the steering than it was when completely stock.

Is a bumpsteer kit necessary for this car and does it really do anything beneficial?

I have the bumpsteer kit but I got it because I'm road course-focused (not that I can afford to go to these types of events too often). Anyway, you did not go low enough to require it with those springs. Sounds more like you need a better alignment, add a little bit of toe to keep things from being twitchy. An alignment with bump steer calibration is ~$300.

Thank you. Sounds like I need a better alignment. I may try the Ford performance alignment specs that they publish for their tracks handling package.

Try -1.7 camber at all 4 corners, minimal toe (maybe it's 1/8"?). Pretty sure that's what a guy I know has and he's very happy with it as a streetable alignment that handles.

Thanks dude I may try that. The Ford performance spec is as follows:

Front camber: -1.55
Rear camber : -1.98
Front toe: 0.00
Rear toe: 0.23

The manual says this spec will result in increased tire wear with the benefit of improved handling and response.

I run -2.1 camber in the back and -2 up front. I don't have unruly tire wear. Ford spec seems fine.
