I assume the passenger side is more at risk than the driver side?
Yes. Passenger side--on a LHD car--puts the can between the PCV valve and the intake manifold, where most blowby would be expected. Am told racers use a driver-side can since some oil can be 'sloshed' in with hard cornering. Driver-side, the PCV circuit is pulling clean air in from downstream of the air filter (I assume there's a fitting on the CAI tube, but I've never looked; 'old-school' V8s had a separate, small filter on the valve cover).

I got my Steeda H-Pipe installed this week. I freaking love it. Just loud enough to know something has changed...it takes that amazing exhaust and turns up the volume just slightly. Exactly what I was looking for in my 3rd Mustang. Installing the Steeda clutch spring and perch this weekend.

I installed the Steeda spring and perch a couple weeks ago; big improvement IMO. Steeda's instructions didn't work for me, maybe because my Harbor Freight needle-nose vise grips were broken. I compressed the spring then wrapped them with a couple zip ties, and for install pre-compress the spring in a vise, tie with zip ties then cut the ties when you get the assembly in place.

Installed the Steeda Wheel Spacers today and did first oil change with the billet oil plug. Went with the Ford racing filter, and 10.5 quarts of MotorCraft 5W30.

The Ford racing Oil Filter is much larger than the tiny little OEM filter, but the gasket and holes all line up. Took an extra /2 quart.

**I DO NOT LIKE THIS OIL DRAIN PLUG.......

I do like the stance with the 1" spacers though.

I used the Motorcraft Oil for this first change. May try Something else next time, but sticking with Ford Products for now.

Filter is much larger, but goes in without issue. Oil change was a 10 minute job.

Front wheel with Steeda Spacer. I torqued the spacer to 100lbs, and lug nuts to 120. 120 & 150 seemed way too high.

It seems Ford Motor Company requires 150lbs!! Hope you don’t have any problems!!!! Your choice but Manufacturer specs are for a reason!! Cheers!!!

Did you check if that racing filter has the same relief valve pressure as OEM? You don't really need that huge filter, if you're doing regular oil changes. If you're going to leave the oil for the 10K miles Ford wants you to, maybe. And only if the relief valve is the same. Otherwise it's a waste IMO. Besides, our engines don't have nearly the oil pressure levels as the VooDoo, for example, so not needed on a stock engine. Same thing with racing engine air filters: They let more air that your engine doesn't need, to it ends up getting more dirt as well. I wouldn't use racing anything, unless actually racing, but to each his own :).

I went with the racing filter more for better filtering and larger capacity. Plan on 10K filter changes, havent decided on oil yet. Will do a sample at 5K and decide from there. All depends on how many miles I am driving the car. Will likely end up with an annual oil and filter change. No idea on the relief valve, but assume it is in spec with OEM.

I agree on air filters, especially the cheaper gauze of the K&N. Some of the other performance filters are much better.

Made another clip for those wondering about the Steeda h-pipe sound:

Nice............. I can't tell Sport from Track while in the car, but from the outside is VERY noticeable. You will all think I am a heretic, but I like beating on it in quiet mode........... In fact, it is my 'mymode'

Still makes decent sound, but you can also hear the intake roar and mechanical song of the Coyote, AND my wife only complains I am going too fast, not "It's too loud" ;-)

I recently installed quarter window louvers on my bullitt and it looks sick.

I just ordered these in shadow black to match the car. can't wait to put them on. That looks like the Ford louvers? That's what I bought

Made another clip for those wondering about the Steeda h-pipe sound:

Thank you for sharing! Man, really tempting. After doing exhausts on my previous Mustangs, I thought the Bullitt was perfect as is but now I'm starting to wonder. Only thing holding me back is hacking up the stock exhaust. I know, could be welded back on but wanted to keep this car as original as possible.

Very nice video. I normaly use the sport mode on my car along with the suspension. I like the sound better than track. More defined...not just loud. I have about 5000 mi on my bullitt with the h pipe. No regrets.

Finally installed the rear 1/4 window louvers. These are the Ford Louvers painted in Shadow Black. I like the look, and IMO, Ford should have made them standard on the Bullitt, as Frank had them ;-)

The kit comes with a window blackout, but I didn't use it, just spray painted the backside of the units black. Very nice finish and high quality look. I especially like the faux 'vents' in the louvers.
