350 / Bullitt Compare

Hopefully a better comparison.

Looks like they’ve also rerouted the Vacuum line from on top of the Manifold on the Passenger’s side, keeping the Brake Booster line on top of the Driver’s side.

Thanks for that! It looks like the hood blanket is formed up to the edge of the open air element's edge and the exposed surface under the hood contacts with it. I am viewing that correctly?
That's what it looks like to me.

Any idea what this sticker or Card is? Did it have anything written on it?
I didn't even look at it. I checked my pics and you can't tell what it says.

I like to disassemble things.
That would be my first and probably only mod. I think I'd have to replace that panel before I even left the dealership. Anyone know if the '15-'17 panel will fit?
Funny to hear you say this.

I debadged my last GT500 because I thought it was a bit overdone. I then bought a GT350 because (in part) I appreciated the subtle badging. I'm waiting for a new GT500 and am already disappointed in that it looks as if Ford is reverting to plastering rather large emblems on both the grille and rear deck lid. I made the exact same comment to my dealer that if the production GT500 comes the way the CGI video/latest front end photo are depicted that I'll be removing them before I hit the road. Somebody at Ford feels it necessary to add billboard size identification wherever they can fit it. Blechh.

As for a delete panel for the deck lid, Ford Racing parts has you covered. I'll be changing mine out for this one...

If the pre-production cars are to be street driven they have to have an exemption sticker on them. I was at the Powertrain Reveal at SVT headquarters in Allen Park and while taking photographs of the engine parts and cars I spotted this one on a PP GT350. What you saw in the engine bay of that Bullitt is probably near identical to this.

Ive always disliked how the Bullitt models kept the Mustang stuck in the past iin terms of design.

But...

Dang. The new one is one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. Almost looks like the 2018 redesign was done around this car. Amazing too look at. And they nailed the green. Looks exotic.

Too bad the engine couldn’t have been presented a bit better,

Overall, my favorite S550 design so far (minus the wheels).

Overall I think the Bullitt is well done, exaggerated emblems aside. IF all goes according to plan, I will get one in 2020 when the GT350 is paid for. Here's hoping my plan comes together :D

Insides

They managed to make that engine almost as ugly as the 4.6 Mustang engine.

Blech!:barf:
Now that you mention it, I never noticed before, but it does kind of look like large intestines and your colon after opening up the lower cavity.

Sorry for being so graphic.

Sound Tube?

It looks like this is a new Part. The mold lines are different and the material is shiny compared to the 350 Tube.

It also looks like a Sound Tube is attached to the bottom of the Intake Tube.

Is the Sound Tube blocking some of the Air flow through the Fan Shroud?

You should be able to pull the sound tube and replace the Intake tube with a 350 Tube, if it separates at the Filter Box like the 350’s.

What else have they snuck in there we haven’t seen?

The engine does indeed look like a mess without a cover. Enhanced by Ford's usual rough connector finishing with colored wires showing and their tendency to put massive bright colored labels on every little tube, wire and other part that will accomodate one.

I think the engine looks fabulous without a cover. I also like the big bold emblems. If I drive a Bullitt , I want everyone to know it. I don't want to drive bellow the radar.

Agree. So GT350s does not have engine cover as well?
