Seeing all these pictures hurts! I want mine already lol
If nothing else, at least getting it later means no more snow for sure, and maybe they'll have some of the gravel cleared from the roads?

lol, knowing Edmonton we'll probably get a light dusting of snow after they clean up the gravel, and the sand trucks will be out in full force!
But yes, I'm kind of dreading driving it home with all the gravel. Sounds like the PP tires kick up a lot of gravel
I've never bothered with the clear bra before, but I plan on getting one this time on the front and probably on the rocker panel area as well

I keep telling myself that this is a good thing too, as i'm having a set of aftermarket wheels/tires (summer only) put on the car the day I get it.

I'm still running on the factory 235's and it does kick up quite a bit of gravel. I added the full frontal treatment of stone guard, but also some to the rear quarter panel in front of the rear tire as I think the fronts will kick a lot into this area since it flares out so wide. No comment on how it's faring since I only have 150kms on the odo, but I'm hoping for the best.

Well I called Ford to see if they could provider any info. They showed the estimated delivery date as March 26-April 1st. lol. The lady I spoke to said she was going to escalate to a manager and I should get a call back within two days. Maybe that will magically get my car into transit!

I did full bumper, fogs, headlights, hood, fenders, a pillars, and roof just because I know it takes edmonton until June to clean up the gravel and I wanted to enjoy it now.

I just had the dealer do it, Heartland Ford uses xpel rather than 3m which is a higher quality, less obvious film and I think it looks pretty good and definitely saved me from a few dingers on my blast to vegreville/back yesterday.

How much did that cost you if you don't mind me asking?

Don't m ow which one my dealer uses, but he mentioned around $2200! I almost laughed when he said that. That's approaching new paint job territory.

I had the following installed on my car for $915 (was $715 before the "extra" work was done)

Hood - 24"
Fenders
Mirrors
Front Bumper
(Extra) - On the rear fenders in front of the rear tires

All Xpel Ultimate.

I told the dealer I had a source which was quoting 749 for Xpel Ultimate for the hood, fender, mirror and front bumper. The initial finance guy said they couldn't touch that price, but the finance manager came in and offered the job for 715 so I went with the dealer. I added the fender addition for 200 dollars.

Shop around, you'll get a good price. I'd say 700-750 for hood/fender/mirror/bumper in Xpel is a fair price these days. I tried quite a few sources locally.

I'm not even sure where to go other than the dealership? Auto glass stores?

I'm not sure what city you're in, so I don't know what shops are around you. Usually the shops that do decent detailing and aftermarket services (undercoating, clear coat protection, etc) will also do stone guard. Try looking at detailing centers, most will do this.

Yeah that's garbage, don't pay that.

Any good detailing shop can provide it, call around and get some quotes.

I was willing to pay a little extra for the dealer to just do it because I wouldn't have had time/didn't want to lose the car for another day.
