You might be the one ford service was talking about. I'm still awaiting shipment.

It's wierd though because, according to Ford Service, my car never had any kind of hold.

Right, the "railcar shortage." Mine definitely went back in for something and was re released on 4/7 but wasn't put out for shipment til 4/19. To me, that's a hold. Hopefully mine gets moving this weekend at some point.

hey guys, would anyone recommend jumping straight to a v8? the last car I drove was a v6 with 220 HP. I cancelled my v6 and thinking of getting a v8 off the lot from a nearby dealer. I've had it waiting. lol

To each his own, but I wouldn't consider anything else.

I'm getting a GT. My current car is 4 cylinder with 173 HP. You won't have any issues if you don't drive it outside of your comfort zone.

I'm jumping from a fwd with 200 hp into a GT. You need to know your limit as well as the characteristics of the car. Fwd is very forgiving, rwd isn't.

Thats cool! and yeah i understand, but how do you see yourself achieving that and taking the leap when you've never driven anything close to it.. its hard to stay clam in the heat of the moment.

The GT will be my daily driver. I'm planning or getting a set of winter wheels/tires and driving the thing as one should in the snow.

I've driven a challenger srt8 a few times as well as a swapped 240sx with a big turbo. When the boost comes on and the rear end breaks loose, you learn your limits real fast and let off lol. Eventually you become more accustomed to the power and you're able to control the car in any condition. Except snow, what is this "snow" you speak of? :D

It was my mother! She always used to say it was too much car for me to handle. I couldn't handle the V8!
