Yeah true, it is expensive to maintain. But getting it new would be a different story, i guess. I am looking into the 435i. the coupe to 335i. (sorry, I know this is a mustang forum.)

I am still hoping that it will be here soon. Mustang is still first on my priority. :)
I love the 4 series but when you consider the cost of owning a BMW vs the cost of owning a Mustang, wait. I work with folks who drive Bimmers and they are nothing but money-sucking Kirby's. Great cars to drive but expensive as heck to maintain. I know, I know they have the free maintenance but there's probably a reason -- like getting you used to finding your way to their service department. For me, I want to wonder where the service and parts departments are. Plus I'm pretty sure you're not getting that 4-series for the same price as a Mustang when you start adding in their extended warranty/service plans either.

I'm on day 3 with mine. I absolutely love it. My only issue right now is the seat belt seems to cut into my neck. Worried the car will slice my jugular vein/carotid artery in a crash! I took it out for a 40+ mile winding road drive on Sunday and just enjoyed everything. It's quiet. It handles great. The comfort vs sport steering was obvious. And oh-my-gosh is it quick.

Don't make an emotional decision because your car isn't here "yet". It will be.

If BMW did not provide the maintenance program, I don't know if many would keep the cars. Last I heard, more than 50% of BMWs are lease. Either people don't want to keep the cars, want to change every 3 to 4 years or cannot afford to purchase them. BMWs are great cars but you have pay to play. I still have an European Delivery 2002 BMW 325i (yeah, wait for delivery twice on the same car) because my wife won't let me get rid of it. She loves how it drives. American cars are cheaper to run and the 2015 Mustang is a real bargain.

Just picked up the pony from the dealership. I'll have some pics posted tomorrow when there's sunlight. To those who haven't picked your car up yet, make sure to tell the dealer to not wash and detail your car, I already have swirl marks. Besides that she drives like a dream!

The interior of the Camaro felt very cramped compared to its competition. The mustang caught my attention with the recent redesign and to be honest, I wanted the feel of a manual transmission combined with a V8. Not bashing any other engine, but the V6 in my Camaro just felt way too sluggish.

My car was delivered yesterday. I called the dealer at 2pm and he said it would be ready for me to pick-up the following day since he gets off at 4 o'clock... I told him not to detail, decal, or drill holes for the front license plate. A bit frustrated with the dealership. They have been a joke to work with. Just want my car and I never want to deal with them again. It was the complete opposite experience two weeks ago when I bought a passat from an Audi/VW dealer. They were amazing and the car was detailed to perfection.

Will post a picture tonight.

Congrats. Right now, I'm feeling like my dealer is dishonest. The Ford Service guys said that my vehicle was on transport. Cars come to Houston at one of three locations. So transport would not be more than 90 minutes. COTUS said my vehicle was delivered on Sunday, April 19th. On Friday night, there was flooding and hail in parts of Houston. Sunday night, more hail and storms. I email my dealer, He said the car has not arrived. My notion is that is the car was off loaded from the train Friday, it would have sustain hail damage. My guess if that my car is at a paint and body shop and the dealer will not tell the truth. I better not get a ca all saying the vehicle has arrived this upcoming Friday. I'll request to see the vehicle history report.

I would've been pissed, we got hail in new orleans from that same storm system but my civic was parked under low hanging trees at my office which stopped any damage from happening. We had hail ranging from the size of a nickel to a baseball.

My problem is that everything points to the vehicle been delivered. The dealer is saying it was not. If it was delivered and he is lying, I have a right to know why. If it was damaged, I can live with that. I remember when the a RO-RO carrying BMWs listed in the English Channel. People wondered if my car was on that vessel. My car had left before that boat. Stuff happens. Just be honest. Some things are beyond our control but we have full control over what we say.

Wow, that'd suck big time. Let us know the verdict. Good Luck

On my way to work this morning a car carrier with mustangs and fusions passed me going east bound on I-84 on the CT/NY line. Needless to say, I was very hopeful that my train had arrived. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that this is the case. :headbonk:

Do you know where it is now?
My rail car tracker's last update was 4/19 and that places it still in the Enola, PA depot. What I have been able to find out is that this particular shipping route only has one more stop in Wilmington, DE where my car will board a carrier and be driven to my dealer in NY.

FWIW My window sticker has always said convoy and never rail.
Oddly there is a different rail route that would have terminated in NY, but all my dealers Fusions and Mustangs come via Delaware.

Looking at the timing of other rail cars it looks like it will be possible for them to get my car to the dealer within the COTUS window, but it will be tight!

My EDD is still 4/28. I hope you get yours soon. I guess mine should of came off the train yesterday. What is weird is no cars to my dealer have rail. they were always trucked in.

Same here, every Mustang on my dealer's lot has "convoy" on the sticker but mine says rail.
