I just found one that is dealer ordered with an exact configuration to what I ordered. It was built on 10/15. If it makes it to the dealership before the one I ordered does I may see if I can get that one instead.
And the race is on! Is it at the same dealer as your special order? Just wondering if any deposit you made would be refundable/transferable. I'd have to go to another state to find an exact match.

Mine is currently on a train in Louisville, KY. According to CSX it's scheduled to arrive in Jupiter, FL on 11/1 at 3:30 am. Who knows how long it will sit at the rail yard before getting on a truck to the dealership. Dealer says EDD 11/2-11/6.

Received word from both FordService and the dealership that the car arrives 11/2. Glad it's finally moving.

Different dealer so I'd have to eat the $1k deposit. I guess I could see if my dealer could do a transfer and not have to lose the deposit but that's more red tape than I want to deal with considering my lack of confidence in my current dealership.

I had a brief moment tonight where I tried to talk myself into a Magnetic GT with all the options I want because there are 3 of them in my area. It's my 2nd favorite color on the Mustang but I think I'd be disappointed down the road if I didn't get white.

Went to the dealer to build a 2016 Shadow Black Ecoboost Premium Mustang with the Performance Package and Premeir Trim in Ebony on the day the website for the 2016's went live. Build date was week of 9/28, and I had 0 information on what the hold up was from my dealer in West Palm Beach, Fl until I found this forum today. So frustrated with the wait and my heart goes out to you all waiting for your mustangs as well. Some days while driving my 2009 Scion XD from 0-60 in a cool 11 seconds I'll see a Black 6G Mustang drive by and the feeeeeeeeels.

That's highway robbery if they won't give you your deposit back. I've left a deposit for vehicles in the past and changed my mind and always gotten my money back.

Thanks Deysha, I appreciate what you do!
You’re very welcome, Ozzmosis86!

From our FAVORITE service rep:

I won't hold my breath. But some good news is better than no news. Thank you so much Deysha!!!!
You’re welcome, mjribeiro! It should ship out soon.

Maybe (hopefully!) this applies to my car as well? Also a GT PP Convertible, same/similar build date.

Deysha,
Any update?
Thanks!
It’s still at the plant, dB Stang.

My dealership is clueless on what's going on because Ford doesn't know how to communicate with its dealers. First they told me the "hold" was lifted and now it's been over a week. Where is my car??!?!?!? /rant
It’s still at the ramp in Benicia, Digope.

It sure is getting closer, snarkipus!

Deysha,

Any idea how Ford is going about these repairs for the cars on hold? It's getting extremely frustrating that cars ordered after our build week are getting ETA's before ours.

Has anyone heard anything yet? Friends at Ford? Dealers with friends in high places? Usually I would of thought we would of seen or heard a recall notice/delivery hold document. Going on a month our cars have been held with no communication from Ford.

Nothing real concrete. I think the reason we aren't seeing any sort of recall notice is that the cars are on hold by the Factory.

But yet mine is sitting in a train yard in Maryland and won't be picked up by a truck because of a delivery hold lol. Doesn't make sense . It would make complete sense if it were still sitting at the plant.

My dealer told me that a bunch of "frozen" cars were being sent to them from the rail yard. It isn't clear if my car was one of them or if they could even do anything with them once they had them.

Makes me think the rail yards are pressuring Ford to move the cars.
