I was also told seat belts are the main cause for the hold. Also told that as the parts arrive the cars are fixed in groups and then released.

My dealer got some more details from their regional rep. This may cause a panic attack for some - but here it is:
"There are a few holds out on Mustangs that I believe this vehicle is a part of:
I’m told most of the holds have to do with the seat belts. Once the problem it fixed, we will have a new ETA and it will go off hold and continue to be sent to you. "
- All mustangs built with 5.0L Automatic & Manual transmissions
- Supplier issue with seat belts
- Supplier issue with carbon canister
- Mustangs with V8 engines on hold due to supplier issue
Almost forgot the worst part......
"All of the cars that have been sent to dealers, before the HOLD will have Recalls on them, so they will get fixed. This is the latest info I have."
