Etis sucks and never shows anything for me.
I just spoke to my dealer and he said the Ford site is currently down so he can't check updates right now. He did tell me that when he last checked I am scheduled for 1/9 blend and delivery estimate he saw was 1/22-2/2.

Hi BJ,
If there are coming by train I am going to tell my dealer not to wash the car. I was watching videos by the Junkman about detailing your car and in one of them he tells you that when cars travel by train they get a lot of track & road dust on them that should not be ground into to clear coat by washing them at the dealer. I would rather do it myself by foaming the car and rinsing it off before washing. If anyone is interested in these videos just google The Junkman on you tube. He has a whole series that starts with a 2 bucket wash and other videos concerning what to do with bird droppings and other problems. Good information.
Thanks Bob, this information is great! What part of NJ is yours going to? Mine is going to Newburgh, NY "The Murder Capital of New York." :tsk: It's about 25 minutes from my house and it will not be there any longer than is necessary. My dealer is on the outskirts of Newburgh so it's not that bad. They have a 50th Anniversary LE in Wimbledon White and a 2014 Shelby GT500 on the showroom floor so at least it's worth going there for the eye candy!

This is EXACTLY how I configured my car as well. It is a DIB convertible with 401a, 50 year appearance, and every other option I could select except Automatic Trans.
Great choices! My '65 is Caspian Blue and my other 2 cars are black so I went with Magnetic just for a change of pace. I thought about DIB for a long time but when my wife and I take them to our local car gatherings and shows I thought it would be cool to have two totally different colors.

Congrats on a really nice choice. If the Wimbledon White was available as one of the regular choices I would have taken it. Mine is going to Freehold NJ, Freehold Ford. They hold one of the bigger All Ford meets every September. Good dealership & a great sales guy. He is a Mustang guy. Good luck on the delivery and here's to an early spring!:amen:

My choice is always black and my 10 year old son wanted blue. We flipped a coin and he won. I do like the DIB. It will probably be his car at some point anyway.

Well, as of today my car is Awaiting Shipment! :clap2: I'm not sure why mine was delayed an extra day, but at least it wasn't delayed a month. :)

Curious why people hide their VIN number while at the same time leaving all other information visible? It takes 45 seconds to pull the car on COTUS with the order number and dealer name.

Why does it take 3+ weeks to ship? :(

I think the idea here is they need to build enough cars to pack a train (or a section of a train) with. So they build them, store them until there is enough for that particular train, then send them out. I know from the last time I ordered a car that the actual transit on the train only took about 4 days, and then it took my dealer another 4 or 5 to get it from the train yard.
