Wrong it revealed a few things...one of which was showing the EBPP came with dark stainless wheels and not high gloss black.
I think most had already pretty much come to that conclusion based on the flurry of photos which seemed to reinforce that fact.

Still works fine for me. And yeah it looks like they are still building this thing, 20 inch wheels on PP obviously not the case. Too bad they didn't make this same style in 19'
Anyone know what the K brace is though?

Bummer you have to get premium to get the "good looking" (IMO) rear diffuser (non premium above). Seems fine though if you are getting black. Also not many wheel choices unless you get premium there are only 2 options.

My statement wasn't contradictory, per se, you just didn't understand where I was coming from. Building up hype in the sense that it will get people pumped and excited for whatever they are going to release on Tuesday, or get people's attention somehow. The site didn't really reveal anything new, just the same things we all knew, but with pictures and graphics that makes it look like something totally new. The excitement comes when people take that has Ford getting set to launch the car or reveal new information.
I get where you're coming from, but I still stand by the second part of my reply. If anyone at Ford thinks intentionally showing us incomplete and/or inaccurate information less than two days before ordering is assumed to go live is a good marketing move, I question their competence.

I think it was just a case of a clever individual that stumbled upon a site that was really just intended for testing. I do some web design work myself and use the same approach at times, putting pages on my site that are 'hidden' yet accessible over the internet for testing.

The fact that they pulled it down so quickly is telling IMO.

The bottom line is, it did create some buzz here obviously, but my point is I don't think it was intentional as you theorize...

Yep, "down" again.Actually it's probably still there but do to all of the activity they changed the link address so they can continue to work on it.

I did note one interesting thing from my visit early this morning to the above screen capture: they rearranged the order of models from V6, EB, GT to EB, GT, then last V6. It's strange because why lump the V6 next to premium models?

Someone or a group is updating this site this weekend preparing for Tuesday (hopefully)!

It funny but they show the $1295 optional 20 inch wheels with the GT performance package. That is an obvious mistake from what we've seen/heard. They need to fix that.
I'll send you the bill Ford for my "proofreading". ;)

And once again confirmation that the EB PP wheels are in fact not black but gunmetal:

Oh man I hope you are right! I personally really like them in gun metal!!

The groupings change every time you go to that specific page.

First time I had V6, then EB, then GT
Second time I had EB, GT, V6
Third time I had V6, GT, EB

The site isn't complete so it's probably just based on price order how they show up and since there is no pricing they aren't aligning correctly.

Nothing was confirmed till the site went up. The flurry of photos had prototype/tester models which have mixed parts from wheels to interior.

Well even when the site went up it had incomplete or inaccurate info and/or photos, so obviously we can't exactly take what we saw there as gospel either. :)

I'm hesitant to link this as Ford will probably take it down. But I want to share.

http://wwwqa.bp3.ford.com/2015-Ford-Mustang?branding=1&lang=en&gnav=header-cars#/ChooseYourPath/

I've noticed a couple of things. Can't seem to find the spare wheel/tire option yet. Also strangely can't find the manual transmission on the GT premium for those who would want it. Good luck for as long as they keep it up. Happy building.
I have been waiting for a confurator since NOVEMBER! And they took it down before I even had a chance to play with it!

You aren't giving us weight & performance numbers, you keep changing package details, and now we can't even play with the confurator to daydream... yer startin' ta piss me off, Ford! :frusty:
